Wood and GW Nolato, Inc. Ten year trail use agreements have been secured from each landowner per state grant requirements. This project is located within the Town of Bethel Floodplain Overlay District and within the mapped Flood Hazard Area. A Town Zoning Permit with the following project conditions has been secured: 1. Nodisplacement of land subject to flooding will occur. All sod and organic soils removed from the pathway route will be removed from the flood hazard area. 2. The proposed pathway will be constructed entirely within the previously developed portion of the site. 3. The pathway will be level with the existing mowed grass surface and will not impede the inflow or retreat of floodwaters. 4. All sections of the pathway will be more than 35 feet from the existing riverbank, with the majority of the pathway being set back well in excess of the 35 minimum required streambank setback. 5. The section of the pathway closest to the riverbank in the original design has been removed and the new pathway design has been significantly rerouted away from the riverbank.
