It is the intent of the City of Manitowoc to have the Contractor provide all labor, equipment and material associated with and needed for the demolition and replacement of A Dock (Base Bid) at the Manitowoc Marina dockage, utilities, piles, fuel system in and on docks, fuel dock building, and all dock accessories as identified on plans and specifications. Alternate bid sections are required to be completed for the demolition and replacement of B, C and D dock piles, and all dock utilities and accessories. The City of Manitowoc intends to award the base bid to the lowest qualified bidder. The City budget will dictate awarding of alternate dock(s). This project anticipates use of funds related to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and The Boater's Infrastructure Grant (BIG) Tier 1. The Contractor shall conform to the statutory requirements known as "Build America, Buy America" which applies to all of the iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met and waivers are required. Note: This project is subject to the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA) Wage Rates. A Bid Bond or Surety 2000 in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each proposal as a guaranty.
