Renovation and Tenant Improvement of the Sans Souci Building 219 E Vermilion Street Lafayette LA 70501 Scope of Work: Interior Renovation and Tenant Improvements to an Existing Historic 1075 Square Foot Wood Framed Building. Work Includes Interior Woodwork Repairs, Repairs to Existing Doors, Refinishing Wood Floors, New Exterior Deck, Paving and Site Improvements Long With New Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical Systems Bid Bond: Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashiers Check, or Bid Bond Payable to Lptfa, the Amount of Which Shall Be Five Percent (5%) of the Base Bid Plus All Additive Alternates. If a Bid Bond is Used, It Shall Be Written by a Surety or Insurance Company Currently on The U.s. Department of the Treasury Financial Management Service List of Approved Bonding Companies Which is Published Annually in the Federal Register, or by a Louisiana Domiciled Insurance Company With at Least an a-rating in the Latest Printing of the a.m. Bests Key Rating Guide to Write Individual Bonds Up to Ten Percent (10%) of Policyholders Surplus as Shown in the A.m. Bests Key Rating Guide, or by an Insurance Company in Good Standing Licensed to Write Bid Bonds Which is Either Domiciled in Louisiana or Owned by Louisiana Residents. The Bid Bond Shall Be Issued by a Company Licensed to Do Business in Louisiana. The Certified Check, Cashiers Check, Or Bid Bond Shall Be Given as a Guarantee That the Bidder Shall Execute the Contract, Should It Be Awarded to Him, in Conformity With the Contract Documents. Pursuant to La. R.s. 38:2212.10, an Affidavit Attesting That the Bidder is Registered and Participates in a Status Verification System to Verify That All Employees in the State of Louisiana Are Legal Citizens of the United States or Are Legal Aliens. Pursuant to La. R.s. 38:2227, an Affidavit Attesting That the Bidder, as Well as Any Individual Partner, Incorporator, Director, Manager, Officer, Organizer, or Member, Who Has a Minimum of a Ten Percent Ownership in the Bidding Entity, Has Been Convicted of, or Has Entered a Plea of Guilty or Nolo Contendere to Any of the Crimes or Equivalent Federal Crimes Specified in La. R.s.38:2227(B). Performance and Payment Bond: the Successful Bidder Shall Also Be Required to Furnish a Performance and Payment Bond Written by a Company Licensed to Do Business in Louisiana, in an Amount Equal to 100% of the Contract Amount. All Bids Shall Be Submitted Only on the Louisiana Uniform Bid Form Contained Within the Bidding Documents. All Bids Shall Include and Contain the Following: Bid Security or Bid Bond, Acknowledgment of Addenda, Base Bid, Alternates, Signature of Bidder, Name, Title, and Address of Bidder, Name of Firm or Joint Venture, Corporate Resolution or Written Evidence of the Authority of the Person Signing the Bid, And Louisiana Contractors License Number. Contractors Submitting Bids Electronically Are Required To Provide the Same Documents as Contractors Submitting Through the Mail or Hand Delivery. If a Certified Check, or Cashiers Check, is Submitted as the Bid Security, Electronic Copies of the Front and Back of the Check Shall Be Included With the Electronic Bid. Withdrawal of Bids; Time Periods for Holding Bids, Award, Execution of Contract, Issuing Notice to Proceed the Owner Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Informalities. In Accordance With La. R.s. 38:2212(B)(1), the Provisions and Requirements of This Section and Those Stated in the Bidding Documents Shall Not Be Considered as Informalities and Shall Not Be Waived. Question Deadline 08/20/2024 Bidders and Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request which shall reach the Architect at least seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of Bids.
