Requests for Information are due at 3:00 pm on Tuesday September 10, 2024 DESCRIPTION OF THE WORK. This project is a joint project between the District and the City of Pleasanton. The District is the sole contracting agency. The Work consists of, in general, drilling, constructing, developing, and testing up to three (3) test wells at up to three (3) different locations within the city of Pleasanton. The work includes but is not limited to, drilling up to three (3) 8-inch diameter exploratory borings to approximately 800 feet below ground surface at three different sites using a combination of casing-advance and mud rotary drilling methods, providing representative samples at a minimum of 5-foot intervals, preparing the holes for geophysical logging, reaming out a portion of the holes to 14-inch diameter, installing up t three (3) 8.625-inch minimum outside diameter (O.D) mild steel casing wells with specified screen intervals, developing the wells, and assisting with well testing at the direction of the District or the representative of the District. Submittal of progress reports to the project manager on a monthly basis is required. Contractor shall report the actual footage of materials used including well riser casing, screen, filter pack, bentonite, 10.3 sack cement at the conclusion of each site. Work also includes, but is not limited to: a. Contractor to contain all water and wastes generated as a result of the project and haul off site and dispose of in compliance with all laws and regulations including disposal at facilities that will accept the specific wastes. Contractor to provide all water, power, fencing, and sanitation facilities required to do the Work. b. Contractor shall furnish and install all new equipment as specified in the Contract Documents.
