The Work of This Contract Includes, but is Not Necessarily Limited to the Following: 1 Roadway Reconstruction of Garden Avenue, Garfield Avenue, and Maple Avenue Consisting of Replacement of 38 Lf of Storm Pipe, Pavement Reconstruction Including Approximately 14,890 Sy Varying Depth Milling; 419 Sy Full Road Reconstruction; 61 Tons Hot Mix Asphalt Base and 1,965 Tons Surface Course; 1,517 Lf of Concrete Vertical Curb Reconstruction; Traffic Striping; and All Work Necessary and Incidental Thereto. Each Bid must be accompanied by a proposal guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the full amount of each Contract Bid, not to exceed $20,000. Surety shall be made payable to: Borough of Island Heights, and shall be without condition or qualification. The Borough reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all Bids, if it is in the public interest to do so. No oral interpretation shall be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of any of the Contract Documents or be effective to modify any of the provisions of the Contract Documents. All questions shall be submitted in writing to the Engineer and shall be postmarked at least ten (10) days before the established date for Bid opening. The Engineer will arrange addenda, which shall become part of the contract, all pertinent questions received and his decision regarding each. Prior to the opening of the Bids, a copy of these addenda will be sent to each of those who have obtained a set of the Contract Documents from the Engineer.
