The work is generally described as follows: The North Garnett Road Improvements, E. 106th Street North to E. 116th Street North shall include adding the following: Original Contract (Under McClelland, Inc Title Block) 1) Remove and dispose of existing paved roadway (formerly US Hwy 169) in phases; 2) Construct a new 5-lane, concrete paved street, connecting improved intersections on the north and south ends; 3) Parallel and replace an existing 10" asbestos-cement (transite) water line with a new 12" C-900 PVC Water Line; Remove old line and dispose of properly. 4) Construct a new conduit for future City of Owasso fiberoptic use; 5) Construct new underground storm sewer system; 6) Construct new double cell bridge box; 7) Construct new sewer line to allow lift station and force main to be abandoned; 8) Remove and replace older sewer lines crossing Garnett 9) Construct new sidewalk (east side) and multi-use trail (west side) of Garnett; 10) Construct new driveway returns 11) Restripe roads for new alignments and additional turn lanes Additional Work (Design by City of Owasso staff) 1) Construction of an access road between the houses on the Orr property, with loqw water crossing 2) Fiber-optic Conduit Plan Sheet 3) Existing Water Line Connections (properties developed since original plans were developed) All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Krystal Amberg, Contract Administrator, at 918-272-4959 (or via email engineering@CityOfOwasso.com by (10:00am) on May 28, 2024. The construction contract time for this project is Three Hundred and Thirty (330) calendar days until substantial completion, and the time is Three Hundred Sixty (360) calendar days in which to be completed and ready for final payment. Time extensions may be granted by the Owner for delays considered beyond the contractor's control. BIDDER accepts the provisions of the Agreement as to liquidated damages of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) for each consecutive calendar day that expires after the time specified for substantial completion until the work is substantially complete. Proposal Guaranty shall be made payable to Owner in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid price and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond (the form in Section 00210 of these documents or the bond form issued by your Surety) issued by a Surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions. Performance and maintenance and statutory payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent (100%) of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the City of Owasso, will be required for the faithful performance of the contract. The CITY OF OWASSO may waive any informalities or minor defects or reject any and all BIDS. Any BID may be withdrawn prior to the above scheduled time for the opening of BIDS or authorized postponement thereof. Any BID received after the time and date specified shall not be considered. No BIDDER may withdraw a BID within thirty (30) calendar days following the actual date of the opening thereof. Should there be reasons why the contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, the time may be extended by mutual agreement between the CITY OF OWASSO and the BIDDER.
