The project is the completion of the renovation of the Yard Shower facility at Kentucky State Penitentiary. The facility is located in the Ground Level of the Laundry Building. Work includes steel stud wall framing, detention-grade doors and windows, painting, shower enclosures, dressing benches, piping and plumbing fixtures, HVAC units, electrical lighting, and power. Question Deadline 08/09/2024 All questions regarding the meaning or interpretation of the bidding documents shall be directed in writing to the purchasing officer. Unless otherwise specified in the Solicitation, questions received less than ten (10) calendar days prior to the date for receipt of bids may not be answered. ACCOUNT NO. 527-CA2N-SP-3900 Estimated Length of Project: 150 (Substantial Completion) + 30 (Final Completion) To attend this site visit meeting, you must have a NCIC background check. The NCIC background check form is in the spec book. The form must be emailed to Jeremey Belt, Jeremey.belt@ky.gov no later than 8-01-24, 3:00 PM, Central Time. If your background check is not turned in by this date you will not be permitted to enter the facility. No questions will be answered at the site visit. All technical questions shall be emailed to the architect/engineer of record for this project. All bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee (in the form of a bid bond or certified check) of not less than five (5%) percent of the amount of the lump sum base bid. A 100% Performance Bond and a separate 100% Payment Bond shall be furnished by the successful bidder. All bonding and insurance requirements are contained in the Instructions to Bidders and/or General Conditions. Bonds should be executed by a surety company authorized to do business by the Kentucky Secretary of State and the Kentucky Department of Insurance within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, Commonwealth of Kentucky, reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive all informalities and/or technicalities where the best interest of the Commonwealth may be served.
