The consideration of the apparent low Bidder will be at a special meeting of The Board of Berks Career & Technology to be held at 6:00 P.M. prevailing time on August 28, 2024. The project includes demolition of a portion of the existing cul-de-sac bulb, extension of the cul-de-sac with a new bulb, grading as necessary to construct the cul-de-sac (with replacement of topsoil and stabilization), adjustment of existing utilities, and coordination of topsoil stripping with the Owner. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Surety Company's Bid Bond on the form provided in the Bid Documents, naming as payee or Obligee, Berks Career & Technology Center, Berks County in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid submitted. The Surety Company must be acceptable to the Berks Career & Technology Center. No bid may be withdrawn after the above-specified date for receiving, opening, and reading of bids, except as specifically may be provided by law. Wages paid are subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961, P.L. 987 as amended and supplemented. The Pennsylvania Human Relations Act of 1955, P.L. 744, No. 222, as amended June 25,1997 by Act 34 of 1997, 43 P.S. 951-963, shall apply to this Contract. All Contracts exceeding $10,000.00 shall be performed in compliance with Executive Order 11246, entitled, "Equal Employment Opportunity," as amended by Executive Order 11375 and as supplemented in Department of Labor regulations (41 CFR Part 60). In addition, all Contractors shall comply with the "Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Clause" as required by Pennsylvania Executive Order 2016-05. Berks Career & Technology Center, Berks County, reserves the right to waive any informalities in, or to reject any or all bids, and to delete any item or portion of an item without affecting the bids on the remaining items or portion of items.
