The County Will Not Be Responsible for Verbal Answers to Bidder's Questions. Prior to the Bid Opening Date Will Not Be Answered. Responses to the Questions Will Be Sent in Writing by: August 7, 2024, Wednesday. Quantities as Set Forth in the Bidding Documents, Specifications, and Proposals May Be Only Approximate Estimations of the Actual Quantity to Be Used and the County Reserves the Right to Increase or Decrease at the Unit Price Set Forth in the Proposal Sheet to the Extent Set Forth in the Specifications and as Provided by Law. the Board Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids in Accordance With Applicable Law. Bids Must Be Made on the Standard Bid Proposal Form in the Manner Designated Therein and Required by the Specifications, Must Be Enclosed in Sealed Envelopes Bearing the Names of the Project and Address of the Bidder on the Outside, Addressed to the Board of County Commissioners of Middlesex County, and Must Be Accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond for Not Less Than 10% of the Amount Bid, but Not Exceeding $20,000 and Be Delivered at the Place and on the Hours Above Mentioned. A Consent of Surety Letter From a Responsible Bonding Company Must Be Included in the Bid as Per Article 102.09. If the Contract is Rescinded, the Contract Will Be Awarded to the Next Lowest Bidder. The Difference in Award Amount Between the Rescinded Award and the Next Lowest Bidder Shall Be Paid by the Contractor Whose Award Was Rescinded. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
