The Force Main Project (2024-029) consists of the following Work: Installation of approximately 17,750 feet of 20-inch and 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer force main (pipe and fittings furnished by Owner) and appurtenances generally from 8900 State Line Road to the Tomahawk Wastewater Treatment Facility; installation of approximately 800 lineal feet of 10-inch diameter gravity sewer; installation of approximately 307 lineal feet of 24-inch steel casing pipe and 480 lineal feet of 42-inch steel casing pipe by auger boring; installation of four (4) gravity manholes ranging in diameter from 4-foot to 6-foot; installation of ten (10) new combination air release valve assemblies in vaults; construction of a 12-foot by 19-foot cast-in-place concrete pigging station including valving; stream restoration of Indian Creek in two (2) locations; sodding and seeding of disturbed unpaved areas including restoration of soccer fields and park ground in Leawood Park and replacement of disturbed fencing and vegetation in the Leawood Dog Park; installation of approximately 15,000 feet of new 2-inch conduit and associated pull boxes (for a future fiber optic system by others); placement of flowable fill backfill of the gravity and force main under paved areas; full depth replacement of two southbound asphalt lanes of State Line Rd, a single lane of State Line Way, a single lane of 109th Street, mill and overlay of turning lanes on State Line Road, and miscellaneous pavement with quantities of 5,315 tons of KCMMB A1 asphalt, 551 tons of KCMMB A2 asphalt, 8,474 tons of KCMMB A3 asphalt, and 26,829 SY of AB-1 aggregate base; replacement of 3,681 lineal feet of curb and 182 SY of median pavers; replacement of 3,861 SY of concrete pavement and sidewalk; traffic control and permitting necessary to conduct work on existing roadways; installation of Type III Microsurfacing of two (2) northbound lanes of State Line Road from 89th Street to 103rd Street; temporary facilities; and all other appurtenances, labor, and materials.
