The proposed project will demolish and rehabilitate damaged commercial structures and parking areas in accordance with approved design plans. The scope of work for this solicitation is limited to the North Outparcel component of the project, further described as follows: A. Project Component A is related to reconstruction of an Outparcel on the project site and replacement of a Pylon Sign. Activities for Component A will include: o Demolition of the existing building o Reconstruction +/- 5,000 sf of outparcel building into 2 suites of approximately 2,500 sf each with drive-thru located on the south side of the building. o Reconstruction of the existing pylon sign. The City of Callaway will receive bids from Florida licensed contractors for the Beacon Pointe Plaza Rehabilitation Project, 133 Tyndall Parkway S., Callaway, FL, in accordance with Florida Statutes, Section 287.055 Consultant's Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA). The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development has awarded Community Development Block Grant - Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) funds to Florida Commerce for activities authorized under Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 (42 United States Code (U.S.C.) 5301 et seq.) and described in the State of Florida Action Plan for Disaster Recovery. The City of Callaway has entered into an agreement with Florida Commerce (Subrecipient Agreement #M0038) to administer these disaster recovery funds. Question Deadline 08/14/2024 All questions must be received by Any interpretation of the Bid/Proposal terms, conditions, and/or specification, if made, will be only by Addendum issued by the City Clerk. A copy of such Addendum will be posted to the Citys website at online The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive informalities in the Bids/Proposals and to re-advertise for Bids/Proposals. The City also reserves the right to separately accept or reject any item or items of a Bid/Proposal and to award and/or negotiate a contract in the best interest of the City. Twenty-five percent (25%) of the total hours on a Section 3 project must be worked by Section 3 workers; and 2. Five percent (5%) of the total hours on a Section 3 project must be worked by Targeted Section 3 workers.
