The owner has determined a prequalified list of design build companies. A timeline for construction has not yet been established. The Scope of Work consists of finalizing the design, securing permits from Talbot County Department of Permits and Inspections, along with any site plan approvals, and construction of a new EMS North Station located off of Cordova Road (Maryland Route 309), Cordova, MD 21625 also described on Tax Map 11, Parcel 65 consisting of a 91' x 76' pre-engineered metal building, including foundation, sitework, parking lot, concrete apron, utility connections, etc., all in accordance with the project specifications and schematic drawings. As provided in the schematic drawings, the new building for the EMS North Station shall consist of a garage measuring 49' x 76' having two (2) garage bays and four (4) garage doors. The EMS North Station shall have a sprinkler room, janitorial closet, two (2) ADA accessible bathrooms each equipped with a shower, a mechanics closet, two (2) bunk rooms, laundry, IT closet, storage closet, EMS office, kitchen/dining room and living room with a vestibule. The conditioned space, less the sprinkler closet, will be 1,212 square feet. The work shall be performed and completed within one hundred eighty (180) calendar days of the written Notice to Proceed after securing all the permit approvals which are anticipated to take ninety (90) calendar days. The County Council of Talbot County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid, or portions thereof that may lead to negotiations with the low bidder when in their judgment, the public will be better served.
