The City of Sandersville Electric Department is seeking bids for the placement of a Generator. Three (3) copies of the bid with the required information must be submitted and received no later than above date to: City of Sandersville, Attn: Travis Fort, Electric Department Generator Project P.O. Box 71, 141 W. Haynes Street, Sandersville, GA 31082, Bids will be received until at which time the bid opening will take place - City Hall Conference Room, 141 West Haynes Street, Sandersville, GA All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked Electric Department Generator Project All shipping materials must be clearly marked with the project name. The City of Sandersville reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and act in the best interest of the City of Sandersville. All communication including questions and substitutions shall be in a written form. Questions will be answered and responded to until 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday August 13th 2024. Communication may be sent to tfort@sandersvillega.org The project shall consist of the following: The Contractor will responsible for Sawing cut concrete from the driveway to the electric department building beside the meter base. The Contractor will be responsible for installing 3 phase 200-amp automatic transfer switch beside the meter base. The Contractor will be responsible for installing conduit and wire from the meter base to the new switch, then to existing main service inside. Conduit from the transfer switch will be installed to the new generator location underground 60 feet. The Contractor will be responsible for pulling 100-amp circuit to the generator and terminate, pull control wire in separate conduit and terminate. Contractor will install a ground rod and connect to the main panel at the Annex Building. A 400-amp transfer switch will be installed where the existing meter base is on the Annex Building. The Contractor will be responsible for digging up the underground feeders and relocate over to the left side of the new transfer switch and reinstall existing meter base. Underground conduit will be installed from the new transfer switch to the new generator. The Contractor will pull 200- amp circuit to the generator and terminate. The Control Wire should be installed in separate conduit and terminate. A new ground rod will be installed and connected to the main panel. Conduit will be installed and 120volt will be installed to the generator and terminate for block heater and charger. The Contractor will be responsible for reconnecting wire from 2 indoor panels to the new transfer switch. Contractor will install the concrete pad and 60 kw 3 phase 120/240 generator natural gas. A new ground rod will be installed at the generator and connected to the frame. A new high -pressure regulator for the generator will be installed with a new regulator to refeed existing building. The Contractor will be responsible to abide by all ECG SPECS and local laws of the City of Sandersville. The City of Sandersville will provide the ECG SPECS if needed. The Contractor will acquire all permits and perform 811 locates as required for the purpose of this project and abide by all laws and legal dates. Traffic control, proper signage and zoning will be the responsibility of the Contractor. Road Closures shall be reported to the Sandersville Electric Director at a minimum of 48 hours in advance.
