Handlon Correctional Facility 1728 W. Bluewater Highway Ionia, MI 48846 The Department of Corrections is requesting Proposals from qualified construction contracting firms to provide general and electrical contracting services for the installation and construction of one (1) new dust collector at the Handlon Correctional Facility. The scope of this project is to: Isolate power from the existing equipment Demolish existing ductwork and piping at specified locations Remove and dispose of the existing dust collector Demolish roughly 5' x 8' of existing asphalt to accommodate a new concrete pad Install new concrete pad according to drawing specifications (see attachments) Execute a subcontract with Hocker North America for the procurement and mechanical installation of: 14,500 CFM dust collection system designed for two (2) trunk lines with integrated briquetting discharge (see budget proposal dated December 5, 2022). 40 HP 240 V/60Hz/3phase high efficiency fan Control Cabinet w/Siemens PLC Brik-Star Model CS 3-15 briquetting machine Rigging and Installation of collection system (Prime Contractor to provide crane, 5000# fork truck and access lift) Design, Engineering and Installation of supply and return ducting with blast gates, spark detection/extinguishing system Enlarge and seal wall penetrations as required Commissioning of collection system and safety systems Provide new 240 V power feed from welding shop in accordance with attached drawings Install all new electrical panels and power equipment according to drawings and specifications (see attachments) Install current transformer sensors at each shop machine with signal cables to control panel Pipe compressed air and water connections from tie-in points to collection system. All work performed in accordance with drawings D-101, E-100, E-101, E-102, M-100 & S-100 and MDOC specifications. Please do not submit online questions via SIGMA VSS.
