This project involves the demolition of the following structures according to the contract documents and specifications 1. 335 2nd Avenue North Low: Crandall Excavating $4,280 2nd: Burke Electric $6,240 3rd: Kunde Excavating $8,000 4th: DW Zinser $15,200 2. 613 2nd Avenue South Low: Burke Electric $7,140 2nd: Crandall Excavating $7,683 3rd: Knude Excavating $12,500 4th: DW Zinser $15,200 3. 615 8th Avenue South Low Crandall Excavating $5,685 2nd: Burke Electric $7,120 3rd: Kunde Excavating $10,400 4th: DW Zinser $15,100 4. 751 12th Avenue South Low: Crandall Excavating $6,280 2nd: Burke Electric $7,340 3rd: Kunde Excavating $10,400 $th: DW Zinser $15,100 The above work shall be commenced as soon as possible after the contract and bond have been approved by the City Attorney and have been signed by the Mayor and City Clerk. The notice to proceed for this project shall be issued on or before October 1, 2024. The start date shall be October 1, 2024. All demolition work must be fully completed by April 30, 2025. All site work must be fully completed by May 30, 2025. Liquidated damages shall be per the Special Conditions. A bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount as security that the bidder whose proposal is accepted will enter into a contract for the above, and will provide the required bonds, with sureties to be approved by the City Council, which respective sum will be retained by the said City as agreed liquidated damages in case the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within ten (10) calendar days after award of the contract and post bond satisfactory to the City insuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract and maintenance. Each successful Bidder will be required to furnish a corporate Surety Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of its Contract price. Said Bond shall be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City of Clinton and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained and shall guarantee the prompt payment of all material and labor, and protect and save harmless the City of Clinton from claims and damages of any kind caused by the operations of the Contract and shall also guarantee the maintenance of the improvement caused by failures in materials and construction for a period of two (2) years from and after acceptance of the Contract.
