Bid is Canceled Cancellation Description IAW 33 U.S.C. 624, no Civil Works construction shall be done by private contract if the contract price exceeds the Government estimate by more than 25%.The bid received exceeds the Government estimate by 113% and therefore cannot be determined fair and reasonable by the Contracting Officer. Inaccordance with FAR 14.404-2(f), a bid may be rejected if the price was determined to be unreasonable. The Step-One IFB for FR Spillway Abutment is hereby issued. The work covered in this section is outlined as a statement of construction requirements common to all the work. Specific requirements for materials and installations are provided under the Technical Sections herewith. No claims for extras shall be made on account of items presumed to have been omitted from this section. The Bidder Inquiry System will be unavailable for new inquiries 10 calendar days before proposal due date in order to ensure adequate time is allotted to form an appropriate response to inquiries and amend the solicitation if necessary.
