The Project generally consists of the following: Installation of approximately 5,200 linear feet of 54-inch welded steel or 63-inch HDPE piping within the Owner s easement and alongside the Owner s existing 24 and 36-inch transmission mains. Piping installation adjacent to Hinckley Reservoir Dam and West Canada Creek. Piping installation within the NYSDOT Route 365 right-of-way for a portion of the work. One (1) interconnection with the Owner s existing 42-inch transmission main. Three (3) interconnections to the Owner s existing 36-inch transmission main. Installation of dual line-stops at each interconnection with associated bypass piping. Interconnection valving, ductile iron piping, and miscellaneous fittings. Installation of combination valve assemblies and structures. Installation of pipe cathodic protection system inspection stations (welded steel pipe only). Installation of pipeline cathodic protection system (welded steel pipe only). Demolition of an existing structure. Trenching, backfill, compaction, sheeting and shoring, and dewatering as required for the piping installation. Erosion and sedimentation control measures. Other miscellaneous work shown in the Contract Documents. Compliance with US Army Corps, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC), New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), New York Power Authority, Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Herkimer County, and other authorities having jurisdiction requirements and/or permits when completing the Work. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
