2024 Water Distribution System Improvement. All work under this Contract will be performed on at various locations within the City of Duquesne, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. The City is located in south eastern Allegheny County along the west bank of the Monongahela River approximately ten miles southeast of the downtown area of the City of Pittsburgh. All work under this Contract shall be completed not more than one hundred and twenty (120) consecutive calendar days following issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Failure to complete the project within the specified one hundred and twenty (120) consecutive calendar days shall result in the imposition of liquidated damages in the amount of three hundred fifty ($350.00) dollars per consecutive calendar days. The Contract, if awarded, will be for one single project. It shall be clearly noted that the Contractor shall be paid on the basis of the Unit Prices as submitted for the actual quantities furnished and installed. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT The work under this project includes the furnishing of all labor, materials, and equipment required for the performance of all work as indicated in the Contract Documents. The work essentially includes the following: Mobilization, De-Mobilization and the providing of all required Bonds, Insurance, etc. b. The performance of any and all related and required Traffic Control, including but not limited to signage flaggers, all maintenance and protection of traffic in full accordance with Penn D.O.T., requirements and all other related components. The replacement of existing Water Lines and all related valves, fittings and any other related and required appurtenances. d. The replacement of existing Fire Hydrants, complete in place. The placement of both Temporary Pavement during construction and Full Final Pavement following completion of all construction operations. The completion of any and all required site restoration and landscaping of any disturbed areas. g. The complete Testing and Disinfection of ALL New Water Lines and related appurtenances. Any and all other related and required work necessary to provide for complete and operational facilities.
