All work for the Project shall be constructed in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Engineer. Bids shall be submitted for furnishing, delivering and installing all materials, equipment and services, including labor for the Work, which generally involves the following activities: The construction of a sidewalk connecting LaGrone Park and Copeland Park, with approximately 200 LF of 8' wide 4" sidewalk and 1000 LF of 5' wide 4" sidewalk. Removing and replacing a stormwater flume along SE 8th Avenue. Removing the existing guardrail at the intersection of SE 8th Avenue and NE 1st Terrace. Removing and replacing a mitered end section at the intersection of SE 8th Avenue and NE 1st Terrace to extend culvert. The installation of landings, crosswalks, and a handrail per FDOT design standards. CONTRACT TIME: Construction time to achieve Substantial Completion is 90 consecutive calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed, with an additional 30 consecutive calendar days to achieve Final Completion. BID SECURITY: A 5% bid security will be required for this project. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BOND: The Owner will require that the Contractor furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price.
