The Project involves the following items and approximate quantities: 57 Road Stations of base preparation and 3,070 tons Bituminous pavement. All Bids must be in accordance with Bidding Documents prepared by (contact to order bid documents): Freeberg & Grund 321 Beltrami Avenue NW Bemidji, MN 56601 (218) 759-9218 Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total Bid price must accompany each Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond guaranteeing faithful performance and payment of all bills and obligations arising from the performance of the Contract. The Township reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to reject any or all Bids as they deem to be in its best interest. No Bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days after the date fixed for opening Bids. *Any estimated value or value range provided on this project are intended for search purposes only and may not reflect the specific engineer's estimate on the project.* A. Work Included: 1. Throughout the Contract Documents, reference is made to codes and standards which establish qualities and types of workmanship and materials, and which establish methods for testing and reporting on the pertinent characteristics. 2. Where materials or workmanship are required by these Contract Documents to meet or exceed the specifically names code or standard, it is the Contractor's responsibility to provide materials and workmanship which meet or exceed the specifically named code or standard. 3. It is also the Contractor's responsibility, when so required by the Contract Documents or requested by the Engineer, to deliver all required proof that the materials or workmanship, or both, meet or exceed the requirements of the specifically named code or standard. Such proof shall be in the form requested by the Engineer, and generally will be required to be copies of a certified report of tests conducted by a testing agency approved for that purpose of the Engineer.
