To furnish all the labor, materials, and equipment and complete all the work necessary to construct the PalmerAquatics Facility located at 2501 Palmer Drive, Janesville, Wl. The project scope includes the construction of a new 3,500 sf pool mechanical and restroom building, 5,000 sf pool vessel, concrete pavement, chain link fencing, earthwork, asphalt paving, pavement markings, building and site demolition, electrical and lighting, plumbing, site utilities, and restoration work. If applicable, Federal Davis Bacon wage rates are included in the Contract Documents, as well as on file in the City Clerk's Office. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 45 days after the actual date of the bid opening. No bid will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check equal to 10 percent of the bid or a bid bond in equal amount, payable to the City as guaranty that if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and performance bond within ten days from the date the lowest responsible bidder's bid is accepted. In case the bidder fails to execute such contract and performance bond within the time set by the City, the check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the City as liquidated damages. The determination of the lowest responsible and best bid will be decided by the City Engineer, subject to review by the City Council.
