Shelburne Old Greenfield Road Safety Improvements The work is a Commonwealth of Massachusetts grant funded MASSWORKS project to provide Safety Improvements per the Contract Specifications for portions of Old Greenfield Road and Stoddard road in Shelburne, Massachusetts. No permitting work is required; any Conservation Commission requirements will be completed by the Town. The Town has ordered the Culvert, Pipe, and PreCast Products Tree Work will be completed by others. Project must be completed by December 30, 2024. Gravel will be provided and placed by the Town for areas where needed. Asphalt and Diesel Escalation applies to this bid. See Contract specifications. The Town will be responsible for all Police/Flagging activities and cost. Please also note the old metal culverts shall be separated and hauled away, not mixed in with the dirt and dumped at the staging area site. Any water controls measures for the two culverts will be considered incidental to the work and not priced separately. Staging area for Culverts and other materials will be made available to Contractors and "spoilage" area is available 119 Old Greenfield Rd. for a staging area for structures and pipe, and to dump removed material. This is located roughly in the middle of the project. For each pipe laid, the Town will do adjust to grade at the end of the project (inlets and box covers). There is no apron or shoulder work to be provided by the Contractor The Town has conferred with the Conservation Commission and other appropriate agencies and determined no permitting work is required. If unforeseen circumstances arise where Permitting becomes necessary, the Town will take responsibility for this work. Riprap, as needed, will be provided and placed by the Town The handwork for HMA Patching and Shim will be provided by the Town Question Deadline 07/11/2024 at 12:00 PM ET
