Building Improvements at Waipahu I and Waipahu II Question Deadline: 07/22/2024, Interested bidders shall comply with all requirements of the bidding documents. Written questions may be directed to Loy Kuo, HPHA Project Engineer at the above address and fax number or emailed Loy.CY.Kuo@hawaii.gov. All bids shall include the appropriate State General Excise Taxes. Bid security of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount is required. Request to withdraw a bid offer for any reason after bid opening may result in the forfeiture of the bid security. The HPHA may reject any and all bids and may waive any minor bid defects whenever the HPHA deems such action is in the best interest of the HPHA. The HPHA will determine the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. The award of a contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder is subject to the availability, allocation and receipt of funds. Nothing in the bid documents shall be construed to obligate the HPHA to encumber a contract using funding sources not specifically budgeted for this purpose. The HPHA has the right to cancel this Invitation for Bid (IFB) if it is in its best interest. The Scope of Work covered under the Base Bid in general shall consist of without limitation to the following: ITEM NO. 1 -BASE BID AND ALTERNATE LUMP SUM BID Bid Item No. 1A: BASE BID FOR CONCRETE REPAIRS The scope of work covered under Bid Item No. 1A shall consist of all building concreterelated repair work as intended and indicated on the plans and specifications. Table below lists the categorized types and quantities estimated at time of design for the identified spot locations. It is intended only to generally convey the repair scope order of magnitude. Bidder shall price its bid based on own independent quantity estimates and factor in own judgement, assumptions and risk forecast of any quantity change between the time of bid and actual construction.
