Project includes all design and construction related activities per attached including the following: Furnish and install two boat lifts with a 18,000 lb. lifting capacities, construct two fixed boarding platforms, provide all necessary electrical work to provide functioning boat lifts which can be remotely activated from the Fire Station, provide all necessary design drawings and as-built drawings. Please submit one (1) original bid package and two (2) electronic copies on USB drives with a single PDF file of the entire bid package. Bid package shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope, clearly marked on the outside "ITB #24-011 KEY WEST FIRE DEPARTMENT BOAT LIFTS" addressed and delivered to the City Clerk at the address noted above. The City is seeking bid proposals for the design and construction of boat lifts on N. Roosevelt Blvd across from Key West Fire Station No. 1, including furnishing and installing two boat lifts with a 18,000 lb. lifting capacities, constructing two fixed boarding platforms, providing all necessary electrical work to provide functioning boat lifts which can be remotely activated, and providing all necessary design drawings and as-built drawings. Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA), Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, the Copeland "Anti-kickback" Act and other federal regulations apply to this Contract. See Part 5 of these Contract Documents for 2 CFR 200.318 - 200.327, Appendix II to 2 CFR 200, Agreement Articles from EMW-2021- PU-00389-S01 and Wage Determination. The Contractor is required to include the Wage Determination in all subcontracts. Each Bid Must Be Submitted on the Prescribed Form and Accompanied by Bid Security as Prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders, Payable to the City of Key West, Florida, in an Amount Not Less Than Five (5) Percent of the Amount Bid. Verbal communications, per the City's "Cone of Silence" ordinance are not allowed The City retains the right to award bid to the bidder that best meet the needs of the City. Should there be any doubt as to the meaning or intent of said Contract Documents, the Bidder should request of the City Engineer, in writing at least 5 calendar days prior (July 17, 2024) to Bid opening an interpretation thereof. Per owner all bids were rejected, and this project will re-bid at a future time and date TBD.
