Reference Number 0000278964 Bid Intent Deadline 2024/10/04 02:00:00 AM EDT The intent of this bid process is to obtain an offer to perform Work to complete an Equipment Storage Facility located at Foothills Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre (LRRC) Scope of Work .1 the Scope of Work Under This Project Includes the Design and Construction of a New Equipment Storage Facility Located at the Foothills Landfill and Resource Recovery Centre. The Method of Project Delivery Will Be Design-build. Work Shall Include, but is Not Limited to the Following: .1 the Proposed Facility is Divided Into Two Distinct Physical Areas Based Upon the Occupancy Classification: 1 Vehicle and Equipment Bays 2 Operational Support and Living Areas 2 the Design-builder Shall Provide a Code Compliant Design Aligning With Architectural, Building Mechanical, Structural, Electrical, and Civil Requirements. .3 the Design-builder Shall Accommodate a 15 M Setback From the Property Line to the Construction. This is a Requirement of the County Development Permit and as Such is a Requirement in Any Proposed Design. 2 Architectural Requirements: 1 the Design-builder Shall Provide a Complete and Operational Building Design. The Overall Architectural Design Shall Follow the Design Intent Listed Below. 2 Architectural Design Shall Meet or Exceed Requirements in All Applicable Codes, Standards and Regulations of the Local Authority Having Jurisdiction (Ahj), Including but Not Limited to: .1 National Building Code 2023 Alberta Edition (Nbc 2023 Ae) 2 National Fire Code 2023 Alberta Edition (Nfc 2023 Ae) 3 National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings 2020 (Necb 2020) 3 the Building is Approximately 2,000 M² of Building Area Including All Building Circulation Spaces. The Building is Composed of a Single Storey Service Garage Component of 1,300 M², Subdivided Into a 1,150 M² Service Garage Containing 5 Vehicle Drive-through Bays With a Floor to Underside of Structure Dimension of 9.0 M; and an Adjacent Workshop Support Area of 150 M² With a Floor to Underside of Structure Dimension of 3.6 M. The Dimension to Underside of the Structure Can Be Reduced to 7.5m Whilst Accommodating a 4.8m Door Clear Height With Space for Door Clearance/operators and Assumed Suspended Hvac Heaters. If This Height is to Be Reduced Further, the Proponent is to Ensure That a 4.8m Door Height is Maintained and That Accommodations Are Made for Any Other System Required in the Bay, as Per the Proponent's Design. Footprint Sizes Are Minimums to Accommodate the Required Services as Noted in Appendix B. If the Proponent Wishes to Alter These Footprint Size's They Are to Ensure No Proposed Services Are Impacted. .4 the Building Shall Also Include an Adjacent Component Containing Operational Support and Living Areas. The Component is to Contain Staff Support Areas of Approximately 170 M² With a Floor to Underside of Structure of 3.6 M and Approximately 140 M² for All Building Maintenance and Servicing Spaces. We, the Undersigned Surety Company, Do Hereby Consent and Agree to Become Bound as Guarantor in a Performance Bond and Labour and Material Payment Bond Each in the Amount of 50% of the Total Bid for the Fulfilment of the Contract Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
