Disclaimer: IN ORDER FOR YOUR BID TO BE CONSIDERED A LEGAL BONAFIDE BIDDER ON THE PROJECT, DOCUMENTS MUST BE PURCHASED FROM REMINGTON, VERNICK ENGINEERS DIRECTLY The proposed work shall include the replacement of lead/galvanized water services throughout Middle Township, North Wildwood City, Wildwood City, and Wildwood Crest Borough. The replacement of water services consists of both the system side service line and the property owner side service line and shall terminate inside the house/dwelling unit. Prior to replacement of any suspected lead/galvanized service lines, the service line material shall be verified. If suspected service lines included in the Scope of Work are found to be non-lead/galvanized, supplemental locations will be provided to the contractor for investigation and replacement. Questions from prospective bidders must be submitted in writing to Remington & Vernick Engineers no later than Thursday, October 3, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. The City of Wildwood reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after the receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any or all bids, either in whole or in part and also to waive any informality in any and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of the City of Wildwood, in accordance with applicable law. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond duly executed by the bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company approved by the City Of Wildwood in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) but in no case in excess of $20,000.00 of the amount bid. Any such bid bond shall be without endorsement or conditions. Bid shall also be accompanied by a certificate letter from a surety company stating that it will provide the bidder with the completion bond. The project sponsor has identified that the SED utilization goal for this project is ten percent (10%). The successful bidder must fufill the SED utilization requirements by subcontracting portions of the work to SEDs or by establishing unrestricted bidding procedures to fulfill the 10 percent SED utilization requirement. Awards will be made only to socially and economically disadvantaged business concerns that are certified by the New Jersey Commerce, Economic Growth and Tourism Commission, the New Jersey Department of Transportation, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, New Jersey Transit or other agencies deemed appropriate by the Office as eligible minority businesses or female businesses. The invitation to bid is on an unrestricted basis whereby the successful bidder must fulfill the SED utilization requirements.
