The Boys & Girls Clubs of Lee County seeks to contract with a qualified vendor to execute capital improvements that will transform the current Park Meadows facility, located at 1900 Park Meadows Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33907, into a state of the art, full-service Boys & Girls Club, serving 600 youth, ages 6-18, annually through after school and summer programs. The budget for the project is $900,000. Capital improvements will be predominantly allocated to interior renovations of existing building, which includes new programming spaces that will provide expanded resources and curriculum designed to assist our youth with their cognitive, social, and emotional development as they prepare their post-secondary plans for the future. New Teen Center will be an addition to the existing building and provide a relevant, innovative space, which addresses the specific needs of teens and focuses on academic achievement, workforce development and healthy lifestyles. Metal building frame for the Teen center has already been procured by BGCLC through Dean Steeling Building. Then and there to be publicly opened and read aloud for the purpose of selecting a vendor to furnish all necessary labor, services, materials, equipment, tools, consumables, transportation, skills and incidentals required for BGCLC, in conformance with solicitation documents, which include technical specifications and/or a scope of work M/WBE's are encouraged to participate in the bid process. Lee County has reserves the right to reject any or all bids/proposals, or any parts of a bid/proposal, or to waive any irregularities in the bid/selection process; and to award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder/most qualified offeror.
