RFP NO. 24-02-REC The City of Destin will receive sealed competitive proposals for the restoration of Clement Taylor Park. The existing park is located on a 3.39-acre parcel in the City of Destin at 131 Calhoun Ave. As outlined in the project design plans, demolition shall include, but may not be limited to, the existing bathroom, playground, various walkways, and existing parking lot, improvements shall include, but may not be limited to, a new pavilion, gazebo, bathroom, playground, parking and sidewalk improvements, necessary ADA walkways/ramps, potable and sanitary sewer service lines, board for board replacement of portions of the pier, and final site grading and stabilization. The Clement Taylor Park Restoration Project shall include, but may not be limited to, demolition of the existing bathroom, playground, various walkways, and existing parking lot, improvements shall include, but may not be limited to, a new pavilion, gazebo, bathroom, playground, parking and sidewalk improvements, potable and sanitary sewer service lines, necessary ADA walkways/ramps, board for board replacement of portions of the pier, and final site grading and stabilization. The construction costs of the project include project inspection fees and monitoring reports, site work, demolition and removal, and construction is estimated to be approximately $1,500,000.00. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary governmental agency permits. All permitting costs are to be included in the base offer including permit related signage. No proposals in excess of a firm fixed price of $1,500,000 (including contingency) will be considered. Details of the proposed work are provided in the engineering drawings and specifications, (see technical attachments including all addendums). All work shall be completed as shown in the construction documents and in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local codes and regulations. The City reserves the right to reject any and all submittals or portions thereof, to waive minor defects and informalities in the process, to accept the Bid(s) or take any other actions deemed by the City to be in the City's best interest. The construction costs of the project include project inspection fees and monitoring reports, site work, demolition and removal, and construction is estimated to be approximately $1,500,000.00. Bid Bond : 5% Performance and Payment Bond :100% General Liability Insurance: General Liability Insurance with a minimum liability insurance requirement of $1,000,000 for combined single limit.
