Fire House 2 Renovation of upper floors. The renovation of Firehouse Station #2 in Provincetown is an exciting project focused on preserving the historic structure while adapting the upper floors into housing for up to 5 individuals in private bedrooms. Question Deadline 09/13/2024 at 4:16 PM ET Construction must be substantially complete by March 1, 2025. No Bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the actual date of the opening of the Bids. The Work under this Contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to the: Interior reconfiguration to create affordable housing at historic Fire House #2, located at 189 Commercial St. Provincetown, MA 02357. Reconfigure Second Floor to create: (2) bedrooms, (1) bathroom, (1) kitchen/lounge. Reconfigure Third Floor to create: (3) bedrooms, (1) half bath, (1) shower room, and (1) mechanical room. First Floor is to remain as-is. Removal of the existing roof system; Addition of (2) dormers as shown in contract documents; Replacement of roof system. Installation of mini-splits. This bid does not include the construction of an exterior egress stair The successful Bidder must furnish 100 percent (100%) Construction Performance Bond and 100 percent (100%) Construction Payment Bond cashier's check, bid bond or cash in the amount of 5 (five) percent of the value of the Bid The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all Bids if deemed to be the best interest of the Town of Provincetown. A. A general description of the work to be performed under this contract shall include, but will not be limited to, the following construction operations: 1. Coordination of all construction activities with the appropriate local and State Authorities, and utilities. 2. Attending the Pre-construction conference and the required job progress meetings. 3. Submission of all required shop drawings, in a timely manner, to the Engineer, for review. 4. Perform all field engineering and surveying associated with the project work including, but not limited to: construction layout and elevations and preparation of an as-built plan at the completion of the project. 5. Mobilization to the Site and Demobilization from the Site. 6. Providing Site Security and other construction site control measures, as needed. Protection of existing on-site structures. 7. Construction work including removing and replacing existing carpet, tile, sound board, sheetrock, insulation, cabinets, plywood cement, doors and trim, carpet step, and baseboards and trim. 8. Obtaining necessary permits and licenses, maintaining all items required by applicable permits, and payment of fees from the Town of Provincetown
