Each proposal must be accompanied by security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, in the form and subject to the conditions stipulated in the Instructions to Bidders. No Bidder shall withdraw their bid within sixty (60) after the formal opening thereof. No Bids shall be received unless made in writing on the furnished forms. The accepted low bidder(s) will be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond. Question Deadline 09/27/2024 Columbia County will not accept Bids from, nor award a Contract to, anyone who cannot prove to the satisfaction of Columbia County that they have sufficient experience in this type of work and that they will be financially able and organized to successfully carry out the work covered on the Plans and Specifications in the required time period. The contract shall be completed within 300 calendar days from the notice to proceed. Failure by the Contractor(s) to complete all work shown and specified in the Contract Documents shall subject the Contractor(s) to Liquidated Damages as set forth in the Contract. Verbal responses to questions at the Prebid conference, or other site visits, shall not be binding. Only responses to written question shall be official responses and part of the contract documents. The architect may not respond to specific questions if the information is available on the contract documents, or if the question is unintelligible or not applicable to the project. The County, reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive any informality or irregularity in any or all bids, after all bids have been examined and checked.
