Question Deadline 09/18/2024 at 10:00 PM CT Overview Construction of new 1500 Ton Salt Storage Building at the Clarinda Maintenance Garage location, as per attached plans and specifications. This bid will consist of a Base Bid and two Alternate Bids. Alternate 1: Provide Unit Pricing for over-excavation if additional excavation required beyond that identified on plan. (CY). Alternate 2: Provide Unit Pricing for structural fill if additional structural fill required beyond that identified on plan. (CY). Work to be done during regular working hours and days M - F 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. CT Contract Award One contract will be awarded for all items. All items are tied. DOT Estimated Start Date: November 1, 2024. Onsite work estimated to start on May 12, 2025. (Start date to be coordinated with IDOT Project Manager. This is the estimated start date after all required documents are received (i.e., Insurance, performance bond and vendor signed contract). Completion Date: Project shall be substantially completed on, or before, Ninety-Five (95) calendar days following DOT approved Substantial Completion Date. Anticipated start date for onsite work is May 12, 2025. (This includes resolution to all punch list items, inspections and DOT acceptance typically used in construction bids). Inspection by Iowa State Building Code Bureau. Required 1 year construction warranty and materials warranty as indicated in specifications. Awarded contractor must be a licensed, bonded and insured contractor. Communication: Until a contract is awarded the sole point of contact for the solicitation is the Purchasing Agent identified in the solicitation.
