The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT or the Department) desires to obtain a Construction Manager / General Contractor (CM/GC) as part of the delivery of a multi-disciplined project which includes highway and bridge construction along the I-85 / I-485 Interchange, west of Charlotte, in Mecklenburg County. The Department has secured the design resources necessary and will provide the project design team to work with the CM/GC during the preconstruction and construction phases. Design and inspection services are not included in this advertisement. The project is located at the I-85 / I-485 Interchange in Mecklenburg County, west of Charlote, and extends south past Exit 29 (Sam Wilson Road). This project includes interstate improvements to help with merging traffic, widening of existing Bridge No. 590816 and construction of a new bridge on SR 1625 (Sam Wilson Road) over a new roadway / collector distributor. The anticipated duration of the completed contract is expected to be up to 4 years, including both preconstruction and construction activities.
