***As of September 20, 2024. All bids rejected due to over the budget. rebid date not available at this time. Additional Pre bid meeting note: If any bidder wishes to conduct site visit(s) at any other stations, the Project Manager will walk any/all stations during normal business hours the week of March 21March 28, 2024, upon request. To allow for scheduling and notification of all bidders, please send your requests to William.Washburn@acgov.org at least 5 business days in advance. The Project consists of: The current Station Alerting system used as the primary communications system between Dispatch and Fire Stations is outdated. ACFD has selected a new station alerting system, the Phoenix G2 Communication System, made by Honeywell. The new system needs to be installed at 37 Fire Stations (see table below). This RFP is seeking a service provider who can perform installation construction services such as run communication wires, wall patching, and install additional outlets. installation and testing the new system. The installation and testing portion must be performed by a G2-certified installer and validated by manufacturer Installation will occur in two phases, as provided in Document 00 01 20 List of Schedules. All buildings listed in the Table in Section 5 will need to have new communications cables (Cat 6 wire) run between the main server area to terminal destinations. It is expected that each cable will be labeled and fitted with RJ45 connectors at both ends to facilitate final equipment installation and hook-up by G2-certified installer. Cable color should be specific to Phoenix G2 system. This color should be different than current Cat 5/6 cabling already present in fire stations. Note that different buildings made from different materials may require different approaches to installing the required cable. Some limited number of buildings may not have the appropriate dedicated 20A outlet needed for final equipment operation. In such cases, an electrician may be needed to change out an existing outlet or install a new one and should include circuit wiring to the electrical panel, if needed. ACFD anticipates that this may only be necessary in some of the older buildings. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed in writing, including by e-mail, to County. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
