Roofing and Caulking, Masonry, HVAC, Painting, Misc Metals Estimated Cost $25,655,000 The Economic Development and Industrial Corporation of Boston ("EDIC") d/b/a Boston Planning & Development Agency ("BPDA"), by its Chief Procurement Officer is pleased to issue this Invitation for Bid entitled "12 Channel Street Platform and Canopy Repairs" (the "IFB"). The IFB is issued in accordance with M.G.L. c. 149, 44A - 44J. Bid Result - Waterproofing, Damp-proofing, and Caulking - PJ Spillane Co Inc - 324000 Roofing and Flashing - GIBSON Roofs, Inc. - 65000 Miscellaneous and Ornamental Iron - Quinn Bros. of Essex, Inc. - 625000 Question Deadline Sep 27, 2024 The scope generally consists of the following masonry, roofing and miscellaneous metals work: o Remove and replace front entry stairs; o Replace metal stair treads at all exterior stairs; o Repair areas of the existing platform's concrete waffle slab; remove and replace areas of the existing lab with new reinforced concrete structural slab; o Apply coating to top surface of platform slab; o Remove basement areaway windows and the surrounding brick and replace brick with reinforced concrete; o Remove abandoned steam pipe located under the platform and its associated ACM insulation; o Remediate lead paint on steel angles; replace truck bumpers; add bumper pads to metal "highway" guardrail; o Disconnect and temporarily relocate HVAC units on canopy; o Remove and replace canopy roofing; o Reinstall HVAC units on new curbs; o Replace all canopy downspouts; o Modify toilet room entry doors, add toilet partition and change grab bars; o Remove existing and replace handrails at front entry stair and accessible ramp; o Replace steel mesh gratings at areaway vents; o Paint face of platform's knee wall; prep and repaint existing guard railings; o Install bird deterrence measures;Restore handicap parking striping and symbol paint and install signage; o Remove existing and fabricate and install new decorative guard railings at front entry stair and ramp.
