The selected architect (or architect firm) will support the Executive Director and Board of the WVHA by providing architectural and/or engineering services necessary to facilitate the proper procurement of building permits, estimation of project costs, solicitation of necessary contractors/vendors, sourcing of materials and equipment, and oversight of project completion. Supervision -The architect (or architect firm) is an independent contractor and shall be responsible for providing support to the WVHA in all areas of architecture and/or engineering. The contract will be for a period of two (2) years with the possibility of up to three (3) yearly extensions. The contract may be terminated by the West Valley Housing Authority or architect upon thirty (30) days written notice to the other party or upon failure of either party to perform their duty as specified in the contract. The WVHA reserves the right to negotiate fees for services rendered considering the scope of services required, the estimated man-hours required for each discipline/level of expertise, and the typical industry rates for the various work performed. The WVHA does not guarantee any minimum, nor maximum, amount of work as a result of any award resulting from this RFQ. The WVHA reserves the right to reject any, and all, submittals and/or waive any minor informalities in the RFQ process. The WVHA shall be the sole judge of minor informalities. A respondent may, at the sole discretion of the WVHA, correct minor omissions, such as incomplete references, within five (5) business days of the submission date. Late response is not considered a minor informality. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time
