Opportunity Amount: $5,000,000.00 to $6,000,000.00 USD The purpose of this project is to prepare the Strategic Computing Complex's electrical distribution system to support the future peak power requirements of the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) and Advanced Simulation and Computer (ASC) program through 2031. The objective of the project is to install the necessary electrical gear and equipment to increase the electrical distribution system at the SCC. This project will take the 20MW power distribution being provided by the Electrical Power Capacity Upgrade project from the outside switchgear and distribute it within the facility up to the secondary switchgear. In general, this includes, new 2500/3750kVA oil-filled transformers, overhead bus, and structure located on the south side of the building. This will require modifications to the existing security fence, access road, and walk pathway. Civil Site-work will include drainage modifications. New secondary low-voltage switchgear will be installed in the free space Room 1400A. The project will be required to consider the necessary modifications to the existing fire alarm and suppression systems because of new equipment and conductor runs. Power monitoring systems shall be installed as well as an emergency power off system. per the construction documents, provide the necessary modifications to locate and install two new electrical manholes, sic new outdoor 3750kVA oil-filled transformers (GFE) and associated underground duct banks from the manholes to the transformer pad locations. Most of the south-side security fence will be demolished and replaced to accommodate the new equipment. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
