The City of Scottsdale ("City") is requesting statements of qualifications from qualified engineering firms for professional services to provide water resources engineering and related services on an "as needed" basis at various project locations throughout the City of Scottsdale. Over the past 4 years, the City has spent approximately $13.8 million dollars combined for five engineering design contracts. The individual work orders assigned under the contracts ranged from $4,664 to $640,694. The City would like to contract with 2-5 firms as part of the qualifications of this request for qualifications (RFQ). The initial term of the contract will be for two (2) years and have a maximum contract term amount of $2,500,000. This on-call contract may be renewed for up to three (3) additional one-year terms. The maximum annual contract term amount of a one-year renewal shall be $1,250,000. Renewal of the contract will be based on the successful performance by the firm and the needs of the City. The contract maximum may be increased at the time the option is exercised, or at another time deemed prudent by the mutual agreement of both parties. The City may award one or more On-Call Services Contracts from this RFQ. The City makes no guarantee of work under an on-call services contract. The services requested under an On-Call Services Contract will typically be for projects that are small to medium in size and limited in scope. They generally include work with short deadlines, scopes that may need to be developed quickly, and/or require expertise not currently inhouse. In some cases, the Project Manager may request work involving complex requirements and multiple tasks and coordination of disciplines.
