The Village of West Dundee does hereby invite sealed bids for Canterfield Park. Work will include earthwork operations, storm sewerage, asphalt paving, concrete curbs, walks and paving, site furnishings, playfield equipment, planting and seeding, and stone masonry. All bidders will be required to submit Bid Security in the form of a Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check in the amount of 10% of the Base Bid, payable to the Village of West Dundee. The successful bidder, as determined by the Village of West Dundee, shall be required to pay, and to agree to pay no less than the Prevailing Rate of Wages, pursuant to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) for the locality of the Village of West Dundee (Kane County), to each laborer worker, or mechanic needed or used to complete the work as detailed in the contract to be let. The successful contractor, and all subcontractors shall be required to submit, to the Village of West Dundee, certified payrolls no later than the tenth day of each calendar month for the immediately preceding month. The Village of West Dundee reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, parts of any and all proposals, or to waive technical errors or omissions in submitted proposals. No submitted bid may be withdrawn until a period of sixty (60) days after the bid opening date, without written consent of the Village of West Dundee. The Village of West Dundee encourages minority business firms to submit bids on this project and the successful contract bidder to utilize minority businesses as sub-contractors for supplies, equipment, services, and construction.
