The scope of work includes furnishing of all labor, materials, equipment, fixtures, and services required for guardrail modifications and installation at three locations within the Verde area of Yavapai County: South Loy Road (Cornville): Installation of one 145' guardrail run on South Loy Road 1.6 miles from Cornville Road with 100 linear feet of new MGS guardrail (6' steel posts) and 2 TL-2 MSKT guardrail end terminals. Due to the proximity of underground utilities post installation (up to 12 posts) may require hand dig. Beaver Creek Road (Rimrock): Replacement of 4 guardrail runs that are currently connected to the concrete barriers on Beaver Creek Bridge. The project includes the removal of 180 linear feet of existing guardrail and 4 guardrail transitions to the concrete barriers, the installation of 4 new TL-2 rated Thrie-Beam Guardrail Transition Systems per Texas DOT Standard Drawing GF(31)TR TL2-19, the installation of 50 linear feet of new MGS guardrail (6' steel posts), and 4 new TL-2 MSKT guardrail end terminals. Beaver Creek Road (within Montezuma Wells National Monument limit): Extension of one existing guardrail run by removing the existing end terminal at the approaching end and installing 275 linear feet of new MGS guardrail (6' steel posts) with 1 new TL-2 MSKT guardrail end terminal. The new guardrail shall be attached to the existing guardrail using a stagger post per ADOT Standard Detail C- 10.38. All work is to be done in accordance with the plans, specifications, and contract documents. All proposals shall be submitted in strict accordance with the INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDING included on the website and submitted on the documents provided therein. Bids shall include all applicable taxes and must be accompanied by a proposal guaranty in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or surety bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the contract price bid, made payable to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors. Each proposal shall be submitted, either by hand, U.S. Postal Service, or other carrier to the Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, 1015 Fair Street, Room 308, Prescott, Arizona 86305. Yavapai County will not be responsible for those bids submitted that are not marked appropriately and/or sent to the wrong address. Bidders are invited to be present at the opening of bids, but absence will not be considered cause for disqualification. Bidders shall be responsible for any licenses or permits required by the regulatory agency of the State of Arizona that apply to the performance of this contract. The Board of Supervisors of Yavapai County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive formalities, and to accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of Yavapai County.
