Construction of approximately 80'x85' pre-engineered metal building addition to the City of Harrisonburg Public Utilities Water Operations Center located at 2155 Beery Road in Harrisonburg, VA. The Public Utilities crews will construct a sediment trap prior to the start of the contract and will convert the trap to a bio-retention pond at the conclusion of the project. The contractor will not be responsible for this work. The City is requesting bids on alternate amounts of work in addition to the base bid work. Work Location: City of Harrisonburg Public Utilities Water Operations Center located at 2155 Beery Road in Harrisonburg, VA DATE/TIME LAST DAY FOR QUESTIONS: January 24, 2024 on or before 12:00pm (noon) local time Questions related to the ITB or requests for clarification shall be directed to the Procurement Manager for the City of Harrisonburg, by email (Questions@harrisonburgva.gov). A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid value will be required with the bid submittal. Bid security must be in the form of a cashier's check, certified check or a bid bond issued by a surety. If providing bid bond as bid security, Bidder shall use form AIA A310-2010 and provide with bid submission. Performance and Payment Bonds as required by the Contract Documents The contract term shall begin on the date the contract is signed. The Owner may issue Notice to Proceed immediately or reserves the right to issue Notice to Proceed within thirty (30) days of contract date. Work shall begin upon Owner issue of Notice to Proceed document. Project shall be completed to substantial completion within 270 calendar days and project closeout 300 calendar days from issue of the effective date of Notice to Proceed.
