The Project located at the Academy Creek WPCF, 2909 Newcastle Street, Brunswick, Georgia, 31520 includes the following Work: The project includes the installation complete of the Owner Furnished UV Disinfection system and furnishment and installation of all required accessories not provided by UV system supplier. All piping, concrete, electrical, controls, instrumentation, gates, valves, supports, additional control panels, conduit, to be furnished and installed complete by Contractor. Furnish and install Horizontal Centrifugal Chopper Pumps and all associated appurtenances. Submit bid responses in (1) original hard copy with (4) additional hard copies and (1) USB copy; email or fax responses will not be accepted. Bid packages are due by the time and on the date listed above. Packages must reference IFB No, Academy Creek WPCF RAS and UV Upgrades and include Contractor's License number and name on the package exterior. Late bid packages or packages received at any other locations may not be accepted Please note that this is the only date and time that access will be granted to potential bidders to the work location. This will allow all interested bidders and suppliers equal access and opportunity to evaluate site conditions and other pertinent considerations necessary to support an efficient and accurate bid preparation process. Firms not attending the pre-bid meeting and site visit will have their bid rejected and returned unopened. Bidders must be on time for the meeting and must be present at the starting time of the site visit. Bidders not arriving on time for the meeting and site visit may have their bids rejected and returned unopened. Please email Pam Crosby, pcrosby@bjwsc.org with your name, firm name, and email address to facilitate roll call and pre-register for this event. Pre-registration deadline for this event is Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. EST. Question Deadline 01/24/2024 at 5:00 PM ET Questions regarding this solicitation shall be made in writing to the Purchasing Director, Pam Crosby, via email: pcrosby@bgjwsc.org on or before 5:00 p.m. EST on Wednesday. Requests for clarification received after this date will not be considered. Responses to requests for clarification will be issued by addendum to all registered pre-bid teleconference attendees via e-mail and will also be posted on the JWSC electronically. A bid guarantee in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must accompany each bid. Acceptable forms of bid guarantees are a bid bond, certified check or cashier's check made payable to the Brunswick-Glynn County Joint Water and Sewer Commission. Performance and Payment bonds, each in an amount equal to hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount will be required of the successful Bidder at the time of contract execution. The Work will be substantially completed within 300 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in paragraph 2.03 of the General Conditions and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with paragraph 14.07 of the General Conditions within 360 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Included in the contract times are 20 days for rain delay. Time delays due to rain in excess of the above days shall be reported by the Contractor to the Engineer in writing, within 30 days of each event.
