Site Improvements at Longmeadow Park located on 1800 Somerset Ln, Mundelein, IL 60060. The scope of this project is as follows and identified in the document. 1.Demolition/Removal 6. Fishing Station 2.Grading/Drainage 7. Play Area Development 3.Concrete Work 8. Play Area Surfacing 4.Bituminous Pavement 9. Site Furnishings 5.Basketball Court Development. Each bid must be placed in a sealed envelope clearly marked "Sealed Bid: Longmeadow Park" and addressed to the 1401 N Midlothian Rd, Mundelein, IL 60060, Attention: Ron Salski, Executive Director. The Board of Park Commissioners reserves the right to waive all technicalities, to accept or reject any or all bids, to accept only portions of a proposal and reject the remainder. The Work of this Project is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, 820 ILCS 130/0.01 et seq. A prevailing wage determination has been made by the Park District, which is the same as that determined by the Illinois Department of Labor for public works projects in Lake County. The Contract entered for the Work will be drawn in compliance with said law and proposals should be prepared accordingly and provide for payment of all laborers, workers, and mechanics needed to perform the Work at no less than the prevailing rate of wages (or the prevailing rate for legal holiday and overtime work) for each craft, type of worker, or mechanic. The Contractor selected will also be required to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and executive orders including but not limited to those pertaining to equal employment opportunity. Each Bidder shall submit a proof of insurance demonstrating the Bidders insurability. Failure to provide proof of insurance shall render the bid incomplete and rejected. The Owner will require the successful bidder to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Materials Bond for the total contract amount. Once submitted, no bids will be withdrawn without written consent from the Owner's Attorney. Questions will be answered in the form of written addenda and provided to all Bidders, as per State of Illinois statutes. Submit questions regarding the bid in writing to sarah.dreier@jsdinc.com, no later than 3:00 P.M. on January 24, 2024.
