This project is to install a new fire alarm system complete with fire alarm control panels, annunciators, smoke detectors, duct detectors, relays, horns / strobes, conduit boxes, wire and other electrical components required to comply with the NFPA Life Safety Codes, in multiple buildings. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a Bid Deposit in the amount of 5% of greatest amount bid. Performance and Payment Bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount will be required upon award of a contract. Submit Written Questions for Clarification to the Department January 25, 2024 3:00 p.m Estimated Date to Issue Amendment for Questions February 1, 2024 5:00 p.m The Texas Department of Criminal Justice requires the Contractor to make a good faith effort to include Historically Underutilized Businesses (HUBs) in at least 21.1% of the total value of this construction contract award. The TDCJ reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any informality or irregularity. Due to strict security please be aware that entrance to the unit will be denied to anyone in possession of any items to include, but not limited to, any of the following: weapons (including pocketknives), tobacco products, alcohol, cell phones, pagers and more than $25.00. Visitors are subjected to searches as they enter the facility and may be required to walk through electronic scanning equipment such as metal detectors. Access to the facility will be denied to anyone not willing to be searched. Appropriate attire required.
