109th Avenue Reconstruction The electronic bid form will be available for completion beginning Thursday, January 18, 2024. The Project consists of one prime Contract bid as a Base Bid and one Alternate Bid and generally consists of the following: clearing and grubbing, pavement removal, excavation common, storm sewer, catch basins, storm sump laterals, hydrant assembly, manhole rehabilitations, base aggregate dense, asphaltic concrete pavement, concrete curb & gutter, turf restoration, erosion control, traffic control, and construction staking. Approximate quantities include: 1,500 CY of excavation common; 866 LF of 12" and 15" storm sewer; 14 catch basins; 65 LF of 4" storm sump laterals; 1 hydrant assembly; 2 manhole rehabilitations; 2,200 Tons of base aggregate dense; 605 Tons of asphaltic concrete pavement; 1,500 LF of concrete curb & gutter; and 1,850 SY of turf restoration. All Contractors shall comply with the "Contractor Qualification Ordinance of the Village of Pleasant Prairie" requiring pre-qualification of Contractors prior to performing work on this Contract. All Contractor pre-qualifications must be complete and submitted 5 days prior to bid opening date/time. Approved pre-qualifications will be posted prior to bid opening. All Sub-contractors utilized for this Contract must be identified in the bid documents under "LIST OF SUBCONTRACTORS AND SUPPLIERS" and all Sub-contractors must be pre-qualified prior to award of this Contract. Applications for Qualification forms may be obtained from the Village of Pleasant Prairie Clerk at 9915-39th Avenue, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin 53158 or online. Bid Security in the amount of not less than 5% nor more than 10% of the Bid shall accompany each Bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Acceptable Bid Security shall be Bid Bond, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Money Order. CONTRACT SECURITY: The Bidder to whom the Contract is awarded shall furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount equal to the Contract Price. BID REJECTION / ACCEPTANCE: Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive informalities in bidding or accept the Bid or Bids, which best serve the interest of Owner. BID WITHDRAWL: No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 50 days after the opening of the Bids without the consent of Owner.
