The Work for which Bids are asked includes the following: The proposed project will include grading approximately 1,380 linear feet of roadside ditches in multiple areas of the subdivision, installation of approximately 100 feet of 15" culverts with end sections underneath three (3) driveways, approximately 100 feet of 17" X 13" culverts with end sections underneath three (3) driveways, approximately 45 feet of 17" X 13" culverts with end sections underneath Gaynor Drive, and construction of a 8,475 square foot dry basin. All disturbed areas shall be restored as a part of the project. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner. This project will be funded in part by the American Rescue Plan Act. Contracted work may require fulfillment of Buy America guidelines and will include the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met, and waivers are required. Substantial Completion - July 31, 2024; Final Completion - September 30, 2024 Question Deadline 01/15/2024 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing . Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
