The Work for which Bids are asked includes the following: The proposed project will include grading approximately 920 linear feet of roadside ditches along Eric Avenue and Tower Street, installation of approximately 390 feet of 12" culverts with end sections underneath eleven (11) driveways, and reconstruction of approximately 6,080 square feet of asphalt roadway. All disturbed areas shall be restored as a part of the project. Bids must be accompanied by bid security in the form of a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the maximum bid price, payable to the Owner as a guaranty that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract Documents and furnish the required contract security. If the Successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract Documents and provide the required contract security within 15 days after the Notice of Award, the Owner may annul the Notice of Award and the Bid Security will be forfeited. Bids may not be withdrawn within 60 days after the date of the bid opening. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, and to award the Contract to the Bidder, who in the judgment of the Owner, will best serve the interest of the Owner. This project will be funded in part by the American Rescue Plan Act. Contracted work may require fulfillment of Buy America guidelines and will include the "Use of American Iron and Steel" provision. Bid Proposals may be denied if the requirements of this section are not met, and waivers are required.
