The project is located at Prince William County Judicial Center, 9311 Lee Ave, Manassas, VA 20110. Construction scope will consist of upgrading 6 existing Elevators (3 traction and 3 hydraulic systems) 5 Elevators at the Prince William County Judicial Center and 1 at the Adult Detention Center (ADC). Upgrades include modernization of hoist equipment (overhead and hydraulic), door operators, controls, and finishes as described on the plans prepared by Shaffer, Wilson, Sarver, & Gray dated 09/13/2023. The elevators are located at a mission critical facility and Elevators conditions are of high priority requiring immediate action to sustain the functionality of the facilities. All work shall be done after hours between 04:30 pm and 12:00 am, and on court holidays and/or weekends. This work shall be done in phases. Two (2) of the three (3) public Elevators must remain operational while one (1) is out of service for renovation. Two Elevators are in secured areas, Adult Detention Center and court holding/transfer cells are in the Judicial Building. No work on Elevators shall begin until all material for the Elevators being renovated is on site. At the end of each workday, all material, trash, and tools must be removed Upgrade 6 elevators (3 traction and 3 hydraulic systems). All questions must be submitted in writing to Ms. Lorna Moone, Capital Procurement Officer at lmoone@pwcgov.org with an email copy to Ms. Debbie Robison, at Shaffer, Wilson, Sarver & Gray, P.C. (SWSG) debbie.robison@swsgpc.com, and to Mr. Randy R. Hommas, AIA, Facilities and Fleet Management Project Manager at rhommas@pwcgov.org no later than ten (10) days prior to the date and time set for receipt of bids.
