Demolition of Five (5) Residential Structures, Beaumont, Texas. The City of Beaumont solicits bids for furnishing all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies for the Demolition of Five (5) Residential Structures, Beaumont, Texas. If the amount bid is $50,000 or greater. the Contractor will execute separate performance and payment bonds, each in the sum of one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price, in standard forms for this purpose, guaranteeing faithful performance of the work and the fulfillment of any guarantees required, and further guaranteeing payment to all persons supplying labor and materials or furnishing him any equipment in the execution of the contract, and it is agreed that this Contract shall not be in effect until such performance and payment bonds are furnished and approved by the Owner. Performance and Payment Bonds, as well as Bid Bonds, are required for bids in excess of $50,000. Failure to complete specified work by end of completion date may result in liquidated damages of one hundred dollars ($100.00) per day, per structure. Failure to complete work within a reasonable time after notification of an assessment of liquidated damages, may result in the City having work completed by other forces and contractor may be responsible for costs associated with demolition. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any response or combination of bids deemed advantageous to it. Questions Deadline: 1/5/2024 10:00 AM (CT)
