The work to be accomplished under this contract includes, but is not limited to; demolition, replacement of odor control equipment, roof and pipe replacement, exterior painting, interior painting, lighting replacement, flooring replacement, kitchen and locker room remodeling, addition of walkable aluminum covers for wastewater channels and basins, concrete repair, fiberglass ductwork, electrical design and construction of new unitized substations and motor control centers, including all other aspects of the Project to fulfill the intent of the Project as described in the Design Criteria Package and all supporting documents. Design-Build Firms which are interested in submitting proposals in response to this RFP shall comply with Section IV - Submittal Requirements The City of Fort Lauderdale GTL WWTP is a secured facility and is exempt from the Public Records Law, pursuant to FL Statute Chapter 119.071. Interested parties must log on to the City's online strategic sourcing platform to access the City of Fort Lauderdale Plan & Specification Request Form, AND must follow instructions contained therein. Access to the pre-proposal meeting is only available to pre-approved plan holders originating from the City of Fort Lauderdale Plans Request Form. Non-approved attendees will not be allowed to participate in the pre-proposal meeting. To avoid any issues, Plans Custodians should provide proof of approval prior to the pre-proposal meeting. While attendance is not mandatory, it is strongly suggested that all DBFs attend the pre-proposal conference. It will be the sole responsibility of the DBF to inspect the City's locations and become familiar with the scope of the City's requirements and systems prior to submitting a proposal. No variation in price or conditions shall be permitted based upon a claim of ignorance. Submission of a proposal will be considered evidence that the proposer has familiarized himself with the nature and extent of the work, equipment, materials, and labor required.
