Refurbish Walkways/Platforms In Upper Basin Indian River And Brevard County. The St. Johns River Water Management District (District) desires to procure a contractor to refurbish three walkways/platforms by replacing the existing wooden decking with composite deck boards as described in the Statement of Work. The scope of work generally includes removal and disposal of all existing wood decking, support rails, support posts and support stringers where noted and installation of a new pressure treated wood support system and composite deck and rail system. Except as noted in the tasks as described in the Statement of Work, all other structural supports are assumed to be in good condition and do not need to be replaced. The District will inspect all aspects of the substructure prior to new deck boards being installed, should any rotten supports be identified, costs to replace will be negotiated at that time. All pressure treated wood and composite deck boards shall by supplied by the District. The objective is to refurbish the following walkways/platforms by replacing the existing wooden decking with composite deck boards (see attached pictures for additional information). Existing walkway dimensions are as follows: BCWMA: S-252C East: 24-feet long by 3-feet wide FDMCA: S-252D: 52-feet long by 4-feet wide with a 4-foot by 7-foot platform at the end (north side only) SLWMA: S262: 36-feet long by 4-feet wide with a 41-foot by 7.5-foot platform at the end (centered) If you have any questions regarding this addendum, contact Breanna Pierce at (386) 643-1168 or via email at bpierce@sjrwmd.com. The District also reserves the right to reject any and all quotes when it determines, in its sole judgment and discretion that, it is not in its best interest to award the agreement. The work is authorized to proceed on the date the contract is executed by the District. The work shall be completed no later than April 30, 2024. The District will inspect the contractor's work within 24-hours of completion. The Contractor shall correct any deficiencies noted.
